Go! Go! Nihon

Go! Go! World’s mission is to change lives by opening up the globe, we offer a painless service to help people live, study, and work abroad.

At Go! Go! Nihon we have helped over 8,000 people came to live in Japan since 2009, by offering free student visas, language school and accommodation support in seven languages. We also offer 2-4 week study trips, which combine studying with cultural activities. In 2018, we added a job service, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities, giving more people than ever before the opportunity to live, study, and work in Japan.

The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide. Gotoco

Gotoco is a social enterprise focused on boosting a broad range of cultural exchange and exploration opportunities between China and the West. This is a funded opportunity offered to 500 students per year from across Canada, the UK and the US. All participants on this program are provided with free TEFL certification, meals, accommodation, beginner Chinese lessons and a 5-day tour of our base in the beautiful mountains of Yangshuo – a small town not far from the Vietnamese border. This is an excellent way to undertake useful work experience whilst exploring a fascinating country – all free and funded. Habitat for Humanity, Global Village International Volunteer Program

Habitat for Humanity Canada invites you to join thousands of volunteers in our Global Village program! Global Village is a short-term trip that allows volunteers to travel around the world to build with partner families and help Habitat eradicate poverty housing. Volunteers are required to raise funds to cover the cost of their trip and do not need prior building experience or specific language abilities. International Experience Canada

International Experience Canada (IEC) is a Government of Canada program that allows Canadian youth – aged 18-35 – to work and travel in any of IEC’s 33 partner countries for up to two years, through the facilitation of work permits/visas. Foreign youth from these 33 countries may also come to Canada to do the same. Whether it is to take a gap year before starting post-secondary studies, complete a co-op/internship abroad, or gain international work experience after graduation, IEC can help make these experiences happen!

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program

Teach, Learn, Live... in Japan! The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is a Japanese Government-sponsored initiative promoting international understanding, by appointing thousands of young graduates and professionals to work full-time in Japan as either Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) in schools, or Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs) in government offices. JET is diverse! Candidates who already hold or will obtain a bachelor’s degree in any discipline (before departure for Japan) are welcome to apply. Médecins Sans Frontières - Doctors Without Borders

MSF is one of the world’s leading independent international medical relief organizations, working in close to 60 countries worldwide and with operational centres and national offices in 19 countries. For more than 40 years, we have been providing medical help to people caught in many kinds of catastrophes, including armed conflicts, disasters such as floods and earthquakes, epidemics of disease and malnutrition crises. We launch our operations in areas where there is no medical infrastructure or where the existing one cannot withstand the pressure to which it is subjected. In most cases, relief programmes change to rehabilitation projects that may run for several years after the most urgent needs have been met. 

Mer et Monde

Mer et Monde is an international cooperation organization which has worked for 20 years to promote solidarity between people and peoples. We work to raise awareness, train and support participants— young and old—in their experience of solidarity abroad. Through various international internship programs, Mer et Monde promotes intercultural exchange, reciprocal learning, mutual respect and commitment to solidarity. Based in Montreal, Mer et Monde has permanent field teams in Nicaragua and Senegal, and works in close collaboration with several local partners to contribute to the development of their projects.

Not Just Tourists

Not Just Tourists is a grassroots organization that helps ordinary travellers gift remote clinics around the world with much needed medical supplies. Any traveller destined for a developing country can carry our suitcases of donated medical supplies provided they deliver them, in person, to a remote clinic in need. All medical supplies are donations from healthcare that would otherwise be destined for Canadian landfills. Instead, they save lives and allow travellers to become more than just tourists.

Odyssey is a program funded by the federal government for language and cultural learning in Canada. It is an opportunity for post-secondary students and recent graduates to dive deep into another language and culture while sharing their own; travel and explore Canada; earn an income and get professional experience.

Ontario Council for International Cooperation

The Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) is an expanding community of Ontario-based international development and global education and individual associate members working globally for social justice. OCIC encourages the development of the Ontario international development and global education sectors and sharing of resources between OCIC members by providing forums for networking, communications and collaborative reflection and action, and facilitating capacity building in public engagement and organizational development.
